Normal Recovery

No action needed

  • Soreness and moderate pain, improving week to week
  • Swelling that peaks around day 3 and slowly improves
  • Some breakthrough bleeding through bandages with activity
  • Limping during the first month
  • Difficulty sleeping in the early days
Call Our Office

  • Persistent or foul-smelling wound drainage
  • Increasing or streaking redness
  • Fever above 101.5°F not improving with Tylenol
  • Uncontrolled pain, or a medication reaction
  • New calf pain or significant leg swelling
  • Fall, injury, or sudden loss of function
  • No bowel movement in 3 days, or no urination in 24 hours

Call 911

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing, or shortness of breath at rest
  • Severe allergic reaction
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Sudden neurologic symptoms
